About 30 years ago I did a very intricate counted cross stitch piece that says "Peace on Earth" with a dove and a free-form floral border. It has half- and quarter stitches. The pattern was from a women's magazine (Woman's Day, Family Circle?) Both my daughter's want it, so I need to make another one! Does anyone know where I can find the pattern?

Hello and welcome to the forum from South Carolina. I found several patterns on eBaywhich might have something like you are looking for. If you "google" peace on earth cross stitch you will have some other choices. Whether that particular chart would still be around is doubtful, unless we have some members who have it. Your other option would be to find a chart with a dove and flowers on it and then add the the words yourself. I hope you find something which meets your needs.

Thanks for trying, Carole, but none of them is the right one. I have "googled" my brains out looking for this with no success. It does not seem to be anywhere online. I am hoping there is someone like my mother-in-law who keeps EVERY craft pattern ever printed (except the one I want, of course!).

Sorry I can't help with that chart but I will make a note of it and ask at my embroiders group where I was this morning. Some of them keep old charts and who knows.

Could you post a photograph of the original piece? It might jog someone's memory.

I was going to ask the same question because I have loads of Spanish magazines and they do tend to print older charts.
