I've finally got my fabric and most of my threads for this project and have started it, as of last night.
First picture is of the design on several hand dyed fabrics--from the Joan Elliott site

Image
Second picture is of my start on it--I'll be posting a better picture of the fabric in the what did the postman bring you topic.
Image

The fabric has a touch of pink running thru it--it's a hand dyed lugana 32 count in Rainbow Dreams

Absolutely gorgeous fabric and a great chart from Joan Elliott once again. I had not seen this one before so I am trying hard not to look too closely at it.

Great start and looking forward to the updates on this one.

Beautiful fabric and a great start  :applesauce: . Joan Elliott's designs are just gorgeous. I think there's a whole series of garden 'creatures' coming out in the magazine. Sure to be another hot favourite!!!!
BTW which fabric did you go for? My guess is middle of the top row, but all lovely.

Im very excited to see this one being stitched. I am planning to start this when I (finally) finish my Pirate Dragon, Have all the threads and beads just need to order the fabric. Think I'm going with Big Bang( 3rd pic) but not 100% yet.

Lovely progress, can't wait to see more!!

The colours are gorgeous, and your stitching is beautifully neat, and I think your fabric is just right. :applesauce: :applesauce: :)

Thanks so much for all of the great replies--I am so loving working on her. This is going to keep me happy until Joan's Sleeping Beauty is released(which hopefully will be soon)

I can't wait to see what the next in this series will be--and the fabric that I chose is something similar to the 2nd and 4th ones in that photo. It's a hand dyed 32 count Lugana called Rainbow Dreams. :)
