I never knew that Mother's Day was in March in the UK - is that the same thing as "Mothering Sunday"????

downunder Mothers Day is the first Sunday in May which is too close for comfort as well.

Yup Mothers' Day / Mothering Sunday in the UK is a variable date - it occurs the fourth Sunday in Lent every year, so because Lent and Easter are variable dates, so is Mothers' Day. :)

Here are a couple of buttons I've just made for my little girl. Getting quite addicted to them and have a stash of about a dozen buttons so I may have more to show :)

I made myself a microwave soup pad since I am constantly burning my hands when I take out bowls that I have been heating up in my microwave. This really works as all you have to do is put your soup in the bowl, pop it into the microwave and when done, you can take it out without burning your hands. I plan to make a set for my son's birthday next week using masculine oriented fabrics.

What a neat idea! Presumably it's washable (I'm a great slosher of soup.)
