Fabric prices - increase?

Have fabric prices increased (in the UK) significantly across all suppliers has anyone noticed? Or could it just be where I purchased mine (I won't name!)

I bought a piece of Belfast Linen 19x27 inches 9 months ago for £9.50 and now it's £11.95!!!! An increase of 25% !

It's been a while since I bought fabric but...that's a shocking increase!

Depends where you buy it........I've just started using Tandem Cottage again (they have an Ebay arm too) and their prices for an FQ of Belfast start at £9.00 for the basic colours. I always shop around as that is quite a difference from Sew and So!

I was told in January that prices were going up quite a bit, don't know if some sites may put the price on their existing stock but it should just be on new stock? Pity but we all need fabric to stitch on?

I head the price of cotton had increase quite dramatically at source...

Think I'll have a look at them then thanks, you obviously looked at where I did!! Couldn't believe the rise!
