These were quite good value; you get a line of writing in a choice of fonts, and a choice of motifs (like the ladybird), and a choice of 4 colours, and they were £2.50 (plus postage) for 30. They're cheaper if you buy larger quantities but I wanted a small amount first to see if they were what I wanted. You can see them here.

They're lovely labels, Mabel. I get them for my girls' clothes, although theirs are far more utilitarian

I got my fabric from Silkweaver and also my Cross-Stitch and Needlework magazine. I don't know that I'll be renewing that subscription. One pattern out of an entire magazine is a bit rough.

No postman, but I actually had a nice coupon for Michaels today and got 100 dollars worth of DMC for 70 bucks. This completes my collection, although I probably won't do much stitching this week with putting all of that into bobbins.

That was from a small thread budget I was saving to complete my collection so I don't foresee much "stashing up" in the near future for me.

It's a present from my OH's mum  My OH counted 70 threads (some are repeats but I don't mind) if only he'd bobbin them for me as well

Those beads look yummy!

I received the Renaissance Dyeing shade cards (all 13 of them) I ordered on Saturday. They are very old fashioned: they have little samples of the lambswool attached, not just photos, so I can really see what the colours are like and experiment for blending threads. (This is for the next set of Edinburgh exhibition cushions, btw.)

Gorgeous beads, hermelien lots of lovely colours.

Emmy lou those threads look really fabulous - hope you have them on the bobbins now and the kit will be such a pretty one to do.

Serinde - what fun sorting out your colours for those cushions - enjoy.

My postman brought me my die cut motif sheets to get stuck into a card making marathon. There are a lot of birthdays coming up during the rest of the year and I would like to have most of the cards done and ready just to send out. Good fun

The threads did cheer me up until I realised I do have to bobbin them at one point  I can get some of them on bobbins then I'll have to order more, will have to invest a proper bobbin box rather than using my small spare cross stitch box as there won't be any room. Well it can go on my small birthday list as family don't know what to get me

The postman seems to be bringing lots of lovely stuff :D
