Great to be here

Post by cougalacrafts »

Hi everyone
This is the first forum I have joined (apart from facebook groups) and I'm very excited to be in contact with like minded stitchers! I haven't picked up cross stitch in quite some time as the one I am doing was for my Aunty's 60th birthday last year and sadly she passed away 2 weeks before it, so hence it's a bit emotional to pick it up, but I do want to finish it and hang it on my wall in memory of her, so hopefully this forum can bring my inspiration back!

Hi and Welcome  great to see you posting.

I am sorry that your aunt died before her birthday and before she could see what you were/are stitching for her. What a fabulous idea to finish it though in her memory.

Could you post a picture of the project so we can see it and cheer you on until it is finished and you pick up the next project. we will, of course cheer you on to finish it anyway but we love pictures of WIP's.

Hello and welcome from Quebec, Canada. You could always finish the piece as a memorial to your aunt. That is so hard though.. I have a piece for my Grandma and hope to finish before she passes. She's healthy, just she'll be 89 this year.
