My lovely 11 year old daughter finally wanted me to teach her to stitch.
she picked a cute freebie of 3 tulips and after 1 hr she completed her first one!

she's very proud and we chatted about slang terms like froggin'..she got a kick out of that..lol..she won't when she has to though..
then she had the nerve to start thumbin through my stash!!! :shock:

told her to get her own..lol

haha, of course she will just have herself a little lookie through the stash, she just might find one or ten kits that she'd like to try... :lol:

Cute little tulip, so lovely that she's stitching too. I can't wait to see the other tulips now as well.

O, C_F that's really nice having to share your hobby with your very own daughter. How I would love to dream about that! So sad that I don't have a daughter to share it with :neutral:

She's getting to it very well! ...and she closely resembles you!

yeah she keeps asking me if she can get out her project..only problem is her 2 yo brother always has to be in whatever she's doing..so she won't be able to concentrate..lol..
he seems to leave me alone with I stitch..just likes to sit next to me and watch..but he'd be climbing all over her..lol..

oh and it took her an hour to do that one so I'm thinking another 3 hrs worth of work and she should be done!

That's lovely, C_F -- you must be so proud of her! And it's so neatly done for a first project; she's obviously been observing her mother very closely all this time :-)
