I used the "Freebie,Smalls and Mini" SAL on the HAED BB (Wow - that is a lot of abbreviations. After the discussion on what RAK means, I realize how much I use these now when I never even heard of them before I joined. But it really would take a long time to write them all out. It really is a dilemma ) to start this chart which was "RAKed" to me from Tiffany, after my fall last month.
Shirley seemed to want to take possession of it this time (Do you think it was because she wasn't feeling so good at the time?)
and also possession of the floss usage chart
Laverne fought back by requisitioning most of the lap time
I am stitching it 2 over 1 tent stitch on 28 count. I love it. I love the coverage, the speed and my magnilight. Gridding and stitching are no problem. I think all, or almost all my future HAEDs are going to be stitched this way.
Also find that the larger format chart (which is what this is) is very encouraging because its easier to get close to a page finish than in the regular format. I'm moving to another piece now, but can't wait to get back to this one.

Great to see you've started this one Carole . You've got off to a flying start too!! Good to see Laverne and Shirley are being their usual helpful selves I think this chart is so cute. My girls would love me to stitch it for them, as my 4 year old in particular has a real thing for teddies. I think I'll try and finish a mini and get this one as a reward
I agree with you about tenting these babies too. It really is quicker, and with a higher count fabric, the fact that they're not full crosses isn't noticeable. I think I'm with you on doing future HAEDs to this recipe, so much so that I've bought a big piece of 28 count eveweave in anticipation of my next new HAED start
Great start Carole! I'm with you on the tenting on 28ct - I love it as my perfect HAED combo, the speed is an awesome bonus! I doubt I would use anything else for my HAEDs in the future, aside from 18ct aida on the odd QS where I would like the finished result to be a bit bigger. Looking forward to following your progress on this one!

and helpful. I love all the patterns your doing specially the kitty ones.
Interesting to see Shirley in charge of this one maybe she thinks its about time to exert some control over her housemate???
Fabulous start on this one Carole and you are going well with it too. Looking forward to the next update.
Incidentally HM is not brilliant at present - most likely a fur ball so he has had some medicine to sort it. I spent ages picking out cat hairs from the House this morning.

It's the only way to keep up with you! You do the full size and I get to stitch one less than half that size. I think it will be interesting to see what difference there is in the details. I'm sure yours will have more, but hard to tell from the pictures where the difference lies. This is a fun one to stitch, isn't it?

I'm glad you found a stitching combination that you love. (hopefully your other WIPs won't suffer for it!) It will be great to compare your Mini with Vanessa's full size, too.
