Yes my 5 and 6 yr old daughters do in deed have their very own wips im so proud of them for picking it up so quickly with help from mummy and step daddy here are some pictures of their wips proud mummy moment

WOW. at such a YOUNG age. WTG, WAY TO GO, on your projects.
I am ALSO teaching our 5 and 7 yrs. old grand girls. They youngest is STILL having problems with getting the x's in the RIGHT direction. The oldest is a QUICK learner.
They are just learning to make x's now. I cut a 36 row piece of plastic canvas for their project and the lesson for them is to FILL ALL the holes with x's.
It looks like you used something like I am teaching my grand girls on, plastic canvas, because of the way the edging is on the project made me think it was.
Keep up the good work gals. In NO TIME you will be doing PROJECTS and will be ASKING for MORE WIP's projects.

Great projects. Neatly done. I hope they keep stitching. I remember little cards with holes that we stitched when I was about your daughters' ages. Completely forgot about them until I saw these. I loved doing them and wish my mom had cross stitched so I could have started younger.
(She was very uncrafty). One of the women in my Stitch In group brings her daughter (recent college grad) to the group. Both are excellent stitchers and you can tell how much they enjoying sharing their interests. Wishing the same for you.

I taught my (then 7, now almost 10) yr old youngest grandson, who was doing a school project involving sewing. He did very well but has never wanted to do it again! He thinks sewing is for girls
