I feel like that when I have a bad day at work or I'm feeling a bit down. Stitching is comforting and therapeutic for me - it takes up my full attention and pushes all the nasty stuff out of my head.

Oh yes, I get this. It's just terribly annoying when little things like work, eating etc get in the way

Only the people here might understand this. I'm taking a 2 wk trip to Germany, with maybe a one day side trip to London. Anyway, friends are asking me- "aren't you excited for your trip", etc. And I'm thinking, yes but it's 2 wks away from my stitching.

A couple of years ago I couldn't wait to come back to rainy England from a holiday in New Zealand(! :sun: ) because I missed my stitching. So yes, we definitely understand!

I usually wake and want to stitch. Work at the moment is boring, and stitching just sounds like the perfect way to spend my day.
