Flo's 2014 wedding samplers

So I'm attending 2 weddings this year and I've been commissioned to do another for a friend of a friend so I thought I'd start a thread.

The first one is for my cousin who's getting married on the 31st May and who was one of my bridesmaids 8 years ago. She told me that her bridesmaids are going to be wearing navy and I know that she like Rennie Mackintosh designs so I chose this one:

HI everyone,

Sorry I haven't updated recently. LIFE has been getting in the way! What with exams for my MSc course, My dad having a triple heart bypass operation, helping my cousin prepare for her wedding when she kept getting hospitalised with her Crohns' disease flare-ups and her mother broke her wrist, my husband then fainting at that wedding (last saturday when it was really hot)!, getting prepared for another wedding next week and managing to get accepted into the Radiotherapy and Oncology course starting in September!

Anyway here is a picture of the framed sampler that I gave my cousin and her new husband last weekend:



And here's another picture of the sampler for my friends' wedding next weekend. I have to go pick it up from the framers today.



This is my own design. The central heart is copied from their invitations and the phrase around the edge is the last line from an Edward Monkton poem which I've been reliably informed is going to be one of their readings.

Taking a bit of a break from stitching now and doing a bit of crochet instead...
