Kinkade's Sleeping Beauty

Hello everyone! I am new to the forum and to cross stitching. After seeing cross stitch kits for a number of Kinkade's Disney paintings, I knew I had to do one. I decided to start with Kinkade's Sleeping Beauty

I started working on it this week. The pink mark is my marking of the center. I started in the center with the cottage and the lower part of the trees next to it.

It's always lovely to see another one of these start to come to life (especially when it's one of the patterns we haven't seen done before). It's going to be gorgeous!

Yay someone is doing Sleeping Beauty! I have this kit in my stash but it will be a while before I am able to get to it. Until then I will live vicariously through you and follow this thread diligently!

Thank you all for the nice and encouraging comments :D It has been a busy two months, but it finally looks like things are going to slow down and I will have more time to stitch. I really love the colors in this project.

I do plan to leave the backstitch for last, but I wanted to see how the bluebird would look. I backstitched the outline of the bird, but he is still missing his eye and beak...

I have another update coming soon. There are no World Cup games today or tomorrow and I expect to get some stitching done during the July 4th Weekend.
