HAED Crazy, Wonderful Owl Family 5/17/14

I was getting a bit discouraged with the first HAED I started, 12 Dancing Princesses. So I decided to start another one I have that's completely different and see if I had any more luck with it...and I am!!

Great start!!! Annya Kai's designs are so much fun to stitch! I start missing my giraffes as soon as I put them away! Can't wait to see more of your colorful owl updates!

Thanks for the lovely comments! The fabric is 25 count Lugana in Dresden Blue. The pictures are just a tiny bit more vivid than in real life (I found the "Vivid" setting on my camera and like the results better than the washed out colors I usually get with the camera.) I originally bought this same pattern with the full background and after working on huge amounts of blue sky on another project, I decided to bite the bullet and buy the no background version of the pattern and find some blue fabric...the owner at my LNS found this gorgeous fabric for me and I'm loving the results. And the though of NOT having to stitch that huge blue background is very appealing to me!
