Those are all so pretty! My favorite is the little yellow flower. It makes me smile, so thanks for sharing.

Re: mags stuff 2014
Thanks everyone
Finally finished my Nutmeg "Spring in the Dales" box. Loved doing the stitching (even the metallic) but didn't enjoy putting the box together and haven't really made a very good job of it (perfectionist me ). My hands aren't brilliant at the best of times and I found this very fiddly and quite hard to do. Pleased it is now off my "to do" list. I was thinking of doing another but won't now.

Re: mags stuff 2014
I think that looks lovely! Did you have to make the whole cover? That is not something I could have done at all, so really admire your ability. It may have been really difficult (looks awfully hard) to me, but definitely worth it. Beautiful!

Re: mags stuff 2014
I have never seen a box like that before. I really like it. Is it hard canvas or did you attach it to the box as individual pieces?

That is a beautiful work of art Mags. I just it but oh such a lot of work. I can understand you not wanting to do a companion piece. Congratulations on a beautifully stitched box.

Re: mags stuff 2014
Thanks everyone.
It was all in kit form - plastic canvas pieces which you cover with your stitching and then join together. Very fiddly and I found it difficult to get a nice perfect join. I did have one or two goes at some of it. Having done one it would be easier to get a nicer finish on another as you would be aware of the pitfalls, but I'm not going there.
The inside of the lid is also stitched but I don't consider it neat enough to show you

That box looks great so, even if it was fiddly, you've made a good job of it.

Re: mags stuff 2014
Oh dear, I'm sorry I seem to have been a bit remiss lately in keeping up with the forum. I don't know what happens to my time.
I got a bit bogged down with my rotation so I have been doing things a little differently, trying to get things finished instead of them hanging around for a long time. I have done one or two cards that I don't seem to have photos of, I have just finished my Valerie Pfeiffer Trio which is awaiting washing and ironing and I will show you when that is done. I have treated myself to some Mabel patterns which I am looking forward to starting soon.
I have also finished a hardanger pattern from a magazine - I wanted to try the edging to see how that worked out and - boy - was that tedious - I couldn't bear to pick up a needle for at least a fortnight after doing that. Anyway, here it is, I must say I am quite pleased with it.
