Very nice, Niki! :applesauce:

What are you ladies planning to do with your finished work? I signed up because SALs like this tend to keep my stitchy-bug motivated, but I don't think it's something I would want to hang on my wall...

I'm hoping to finish the angel tonight (backstitching :tantrum: !), and I'm replacing the cat face with another non-human JE design. (The moderator said it's fine to do this, as long as it is still JE.)

I too, love it Niki!!!

I'm not sure yet what I will do with mine when it's finished, and like you endersPrincess intend to use a different non-human JE design---just haven't figured out what to use though

I plan on putting a human face in all of my squares and making them all have beads and sparkle. I like to think of these SALs as the new school girl samplers but instead of learning how to spell we are communicating across the globe :)

I will probably have mine framed and put up in my stitching area. There are many Joan Elliott patterns I want to do but know I will never get around to them and doing this kind of SAL allows you to have pieces of her patterns without stitching the whole thing :D

Eventually I would like to do a round robin kind of stitching with her Christmas angels :D :D

Looks great, as usual, Niki. I haven't even started mine...the chart is on my desk staring at me. I am trying to get caught up on the other SAL's...I especially want to finish the AAN Halloween Town. The friend who was here this week really likes it (she was here in March and saw the beginnings of it), and she just loves Halloween, so I've decided to get it framed and give it to her.

(And Luna is really calling my name...she got here Tuesday...)

Finally finished the angel! :tizzy: (minus the beads, which I'll do at the end)
Image
I used Joan's conversion to red hair, changed her dress to blue, the flowers to white, white pearl PTB for gold Kreinik, and over-1 for her face. Since I'm stitching on old cobblestone lugana, I used ecru and white for the border.

Love the colour changes, looks brilliant.

I'll probably put mine in my craft room. I'm not intending to change anything much in the SAL. This time!! But if I get one I really don't like....

Here are my 2 faces -(she says, dragging along miles behind everyone else!)
due to a busy work schedule I didn't get a chance to start the Angel until August but I have caught up now! I am stitching the SAL as charted by Joan, (I have changed the colour of the Angels eyes, on the request of my girls - we are a blue eyed family!)
I will add the beads at the end.
thanks for looking!Image

Megan - I love the changes you made to the angel and they are great too. Well Done its gorgeous.

Casrrie - Your stitching is so lovely and even and neat. Love the colours you have used in your angel.

Really enjoying seeing this one being done with all its variations.
