Mill Hill Moonlit Kitties- FINISHED

Post by marniecat »

Started the Mill Hill kit "Moonlit Kitties", it is on the right side of this photo.

Hoping to get it done by Halloween, the race is on! But if I don't, there's always next year! I started it on the perforated paper in the kit and didn't like it at all, so I restarted on 14 ct navy Aida.

Very cool! I just finished my Midnight Farm buttons and beads kit, although I did use the perforated paper. :) I enjoyed it a lot and i hope you are as well!

Enjoying the pattern a lot! I just couldn't get on with the paper. I started in the middle, so the first stitches were black which I feel is a thinner thread, and to me my stitches just looked terrible on the paper, very wonky. The stitches on Aida just felt and looked so much better so I stuck with it.

That makes sense, I know sometimes black doesn't have great coverage, even if you're using 3 strands like the kit recommends. I found the only stitches that looked off were the grapefruit glow-in-the-dark #4 Kreinik, but not enough to bother me. One of these days I'll get a photo up in my thread. :)

Yay! I love Halloween-themed stitching, and this one is no exception. I really enjoyed my Mill Hill Witch Way, although I too, got bored with the stitching part. Once I started adding beads, though - it was great fun!
