A cheeky day spent stitching!

Post by Slinky »

I have just spent virtually the entire day stitching, and it feels great!!!

I'm a mum, the kids are home from school for summer and they're good kids but you never get a moment' peace - you know how it is. But today, my eldest was off at an activity camp and my youngest has been with a friend, and I have about a million housework things to do but I thought, "S_d that, it'll all still be there tomorrow, I'm going to stitch"

So I did. Favourite chair, Olympics on, mobile phone by my side, cup of tea regularly replenished. Joy.

I got loads done, I'm really pleased. And the best bit is, my husband is away so I have all evening to carry on after I've put the kids to bed!

I highly recommend such slothful behaviour once in a while. Has done me a power of good. :D :D :D

:applesauce: :applesauce: I love those days, too. My mom will take a vacation day from work every once in a while so she can have a day with the grandkids and give me a day to do whatever I want. I'm glad you enjoyed your day! I really need to have some stitching time, but I'm trying to get the house ready for our daughter's party Saturday. :ratherbe:

I had a day off yesterday but I didn't get any stitching done. Things just didn't work out that way. And since my eyes were tired this morning I didn't bring my stitching to work either. Maybe tonight. Hopefully.

Oh, what a wonderful day! :sun:
I did mostly the same yesterday and today, but not all day - had to go out on errands. Well, today wasn't so bad because I went to sign the contract with the bank for the new car - and I am happy about it, too.

But when I stitch so much, I have a pain in my neck and shoulders. Calcification of the vertebrae... (at least that's what the dictionary says) I am getting old.

That sounds like an ideal day!

I'm mega busy at work at the mo, and off to see my best mate in Derbyshire this weekend, so I'm desperate for one of those lazy Saturdays where I can sip tea and stitch all day.

Lucky lucky!

The perfect day!!!

Seem to get quite a lot of those at the moment - don't know what I'd do without my XS! Go crazy with boredom I reckon! Where does the day go tho??

Don't you just LOVE days like this! I have just sat writing my husbands shifts for the next 2 months on the calendar and mentally noting the evenings/nights I will have my sewing, cuppa (or something a little stronger  ) and peace and quiet!

Oh I wished I had done that today, I took a day off from work and did some cleaning instead......I did stitch a little tonight. I love those days when you can stitch all day and not be bothered! How lovely is that????!!!!!
