Kim, it actually is a pretty quick stitch (so far). That kind of surprises me because the counting really has to be precise; they're not a lot of room for "personalization" on this one.

Thanks, Tracy. As far as the path I'm taking, I just started in the middle and more or less worked my way around. I think I'll try to work each element (on all sides) before moving to the next; since it's so geometrical I'm trying to approach it methodically, which is different than my usual cross country craziness. And since the floss is overdyed, I'm completing each stitch as I go.

I'll go next! I'm doing Plum Pudding for this stitch along. It's not my first amazing dessert, but I haven't finished the other one yet.

Here's my "artsy" floss toss.



I chose to use 28 count Antique White Lugana because I really wanted the purples to POP off the fabric. I am still happy with my choice, but the purples really aren't as bright as I would have hoped! I still like them, it's just not in your face. I think the only one that would be like that is the fruit parfait one with all the different colors instead of colors in the same family.

I started on January 1st and here's were I was up to as of Sunday night:







Unfortunately I miscounted on the two blocks I've added since this picture, so I've been slowly unpicking them and working on another project to keep me sane.

Great to see another Plum Pudding in progress, I've been working on mine as well.

Stitched with the suggested threads on one of Colour Cascades Monthly Melody pieces from last year.

It's just a teeny start and i must put it away now till i have finished the 40th birthday present that is needed by the 31st of the month (seriously got my doubts over it tho!)

The Plum Puddings are so pretty!!! And it's fun to see how different stitchers approach the same design. I think Plum would have been my second choice because the colors are just so gorgeous!! My pumpkin colors remind me of autumn, which is why I was drawn to it. This is going to be a fun SAL...thanks for setting it up, perftangel!!!

Gosh these are just going to be so amazing. I really wanted to get in on this but had no funds for it so I'm excited to see them stitched up. Of course everyone knows where they can send the patterns to when they no longer want them LOL Keep up the wonderful progress.
