I think the second one looks interesting, something unusual. But what is it?

It's a Tardis!!!
Many years ago in the UK there were Police telephone boxes on the streets....these became obsolete, then Dr Who arrived and the TV series used them as the model for the Dr's transport through time!!!

I may have let out a little happy noise when I saw the Tardis. That's a very cool design.

On a slightly related note, the Doctor was mentioned in the book I am reading. It was written in the 1930's. This has me scratching my head a bit. It was just a single sentence, but it mentioned a Doctor doing strange and wonderful things. It made me nerd out a bit.

So, there are still girls being born. This is a relief. It seemed like only boys were being born this year. Congratulations to your niece. :stork: :balloons:

Oh, I definitely squealed, too! And I think I would nerd out over the mention of a strange and wonderful Doctor. Curious - what book are you reading?

The Once And Future King by T.H. White. It's in the first book, The Sword in the Stone.

I haven't read that for years (YEARS!), but it's one of my favorite books. I only discovered the Doctor in the last couple years, so I wouldn't have even noticed the reference. And now I want to reread it - I have a beautiful Folio Society edition staring at me right right now from the bookshelf.

I looked on Sewandso for wisteria projects & saw the first of these pixie blossom charts, 2nd one I looked for was bluebell chart. After I ordered those up came on their suggestions of a geranium pixie. Such a lovely red & reminded me when I was growing up my mum usually had bright red geraniums on the lounge window sill. So went ahead & bought that too with my birthday money.

The kit, Dancing lady with Roses I bought because I fell in love with it directly I saw it. It came this week & is really beautiful. The largest of my kits too but it will look wonderful when done.

Also had Design Works Madonna & Child kit returned with full amount of thread so have that to look forward to stitching as well. Will finish project I've just started, have another one to do as a gift & then will do Madonna & child. Have plenty to keep me busy :D

Oh what gorgeous stash you have bought - love all of them. I recently did the Bluebell Fairy and it falls together very easily.

OK so here's my Stash of projects to do - the next ones will be the Pooh Bear ones as they shouldn't take me too long (she says, hoping!)

What a lot of lovely kits you have Dawnbreak. So many wonderful things to choose from & look forward to seeing them worked :D

Seeing what others make I am getting more adventurous with my projects - everyone on here has certainly given me the incentive to try different project themes & stretch myself. :D
