Love those dragonflies!! I might have to get that kit and make it for my mom, who has a bunch of dragonfly-themed stuff in her kitchen.

In fact, I've got a picture of my most recent delivery of Mill Hill kits, including one of a dragonfly that I'm going to make for her (I got an extra one of that kit for my stepsister, who also collects them).

The Irish Santa (I've got five of that kit) is going to be for all of my family members--we went on a trip to Ireland last fall, so this is in memory of that trip. The angel is for my sister-in-law, the coffee one is for my sister, and the pinecones and candle kits are going to be for my dad and mom, respectively. The Potting Table and the frame are going to my mom, who recently got her certification as a Master Gardener.

Oh, such pretty little kits! Have fun with them, and do share your progress. I love the idea of the Irish Santa for everyone - what a fabulous "after the fact souvenir" that will be.

those dragonflies are gorgeous Lavenderbee, are they for you or for you to make up as a gift?

Kathy_A those kits are lovely, how long will it take you to make each one? I think I am a very slow stitcher so I'm always curious about how long other stitchers take!

I'm a slow stitcher and it used to bother me. Once I got over it, I enjoyed stitching even more. (I also used to be a one-at-a-time stitcher - then I joined this forum and realized it's okay to have more than one WIP at a time. I do still sometimes feel guilty when I ignore one project for another - it's almost like favoring one child over another. :-) )

The ornament kits from Mill Hill have lots of beads in them, so those usually take me around 12 hours each. My main problem with those is keeping my cat out of the cork coasters I use to hold the beads!

I figure I will be working on them for about a month in total.

I did get to Colours Down Under whilst in Perth and had a lovely time looking at some of her hardanger (Sweetheart Tree) kits but did manage to leave them all there. Stocked up on a few needed DMC threads plus 2 Dinky Dyes ones, Floral Lei and Iris plus a packet of needles as spares.

Sorry no pics for obvious reasons - its that time of year.

Glad to be of help re dragonfly kit Kathy. The kits you bought are so pretty & your family will love those as gifts. Look forward to seeing them on here :applesauce: :D

The 2 kits I bought are for us. The smaller geisha I am stitching now is a gift. I have a Joan Elliott chart for a geisha in subtle blues & mauves the complete opposite to this brightly coloured one. Thought they would compliment each other being opposites but will see as & when I get round to doing the blue/mauve one. Would like to do this bright geisha next year after Madonna & child which I will start when my current project is finished. Of course after Madonna is done, I could change my mind about next stitching to be done

Glad you had a lovely time in Perth Sally & stocked up on a few bits :D

I've been slightly naughty - and frugal?? I had to order beads to finish the Friendship Compass, so I added a chart and the little candy corn kit (to justify the shipping - thus being frugal - and yes, I know it's a reach there). I saw the design on the left on Facebook and just loved it. While browsing 123Stitch, I saw the little candy corn guy. I'm going to make him into a fridge magnet for my daughter-in-law - she loves candy corn and now she'll be able to have it all year long. :-)

Image

And the biggie is I ordered a sampler kit from Shepherd's Bush - saw it on Facebook and fell in love. It doesn't show very well in the picture, but it's called Spooky Spots.
