Is this it?: http://www.yourwdwstore.net/Disney-Cros ... _3883.html
I'd have thought it worthwhile contacting Stoney Creek by e-mail enclosing a photo of the ruined chart & how far you've got as evidence that you're not trying to blag a freebie.

Richard offers sound advice - they may well replace the chart for you as a gesture of goodwill, perhaps just asking for postage. I hope a solution can be found for the project, honeymoon purchases are extra special because of the memories!

Richard has some great advice. I have found Disney usually is very giving when it comes to circumstances such as this. A picture of the ruined pattern would hopefully do the trick.

I will have to try that. I was hoping it was still sold by Disney since they always have the best customer service.

Re: Caitie's SAL - update 10/26 - parking is hard!

Post by caitief »

I don't have enough to take a picture yet, but I am trying parking for the first time and wow - it is challenging. There is SO much thread on the back.

It is necessary for this project, so I am going to try.

Did you have any luck getting a Puppy Love chart?

Yep, I can echo your feelings having just bombed out from parking for a second time out of 3 attempts. One thing I will say about parking is that it leaves a more even depth of mat of threads on the back than when cross country stitching to the same level of complexity. On my last project with 43 colours in a 10x10 square I got up to 3mm thick on the back. With parking it seems to be fairly consistent at 1.5-2mm thick.

The only project where I have coped with parking was when there were fewer than 15 colours on the go at a time. I just cannot cope with parking when there are 30+ colours at a time - the sort of thing that's happening with my current & last projects.

Here are the first ten rows of my first page! It is starting to go a little more quickly and I see that later on the page will get even easier! My stitches are a little tight in one area where the back is crazy, but I know no one else will notice, so I am not spending several hours fixing it.
