I stitched until the pizza got here, had my 2 slices, washed my hands after and stayed up until 4:45 in the morning.

I do pick up my pizza by the crust, fold it in half and eat it. I'm a Jersey girl.. thought that's how it was done. My British (now citizen husband) also eats his pizza that way.

Pizza was power food!! Hahaha. I got a ton more done! I'll take a photo and post it in a few (need my laptop for that).

So my plan for today is to eat some breakfast, take a nice hot shower to get the kinks out of my shoulders and finish waking up, and while husband and daughter watch American football, sit with them in the living room and stitch. I can listen to the games and not watch.

The Lord's Prayer looks great! I hope the pizza gave you the energy to stitch on. :-)

I love the ABC's, too.

Soooo, you eat it like an American. :) I've heard tell that some folks eat it with a knife and fork, but I've never seen anyone do it.
Nor have I. I think it might be illegal?

In Brazil we eat with a knife and fork, so when I'm there I eat the way I used to, but here I eat with my hands. :p The pizzas are different though, the brazilian dough lends itself to the knife and fork.

Beautiful!

(on the pizza question, if I'm having it at a restaurant/pizzeria I will use knife & fork, but at home it's definitely finger food :-))

I second what Mabel said. That's what I do, too. I've been known to eat pizza with a knife and fork at home, too, when I'm trying not to get my hands too greasy.

You're making great progress. I'm :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: cheering you on so that you make your goal date.

I'm going as fast as I possibly can! I'm up for work around 5AM every day, teach all day, get home, get the kiddo to football (soccer) practice, do grading there, get home, make dinner, input grades into the computer, take a quick shower and then stitch till I can't see anymore. :)

Will update tomorrow with tonights progress.

Made me tired just reading that schedule. But clearly the stitching isn't suffering at all. Great progress!

Thanks for all the encouragement.. I have 10 days left to finish!! *eek* *insert mini freak out here* :tizzy: :tizzy: :tizzy:

*crossing fingers*

I kind of fell asleep last night, so now, I'm just working away. I'm going to try to find some more time to stitch in the next few days. Perhaps Monday when there's a shortened day of work due to Columbus Day..

Okay.. so my version is a bit less intricate, but it's DONE, framed and given. :) :whoop: :whoop:

I ran out of time since I got sick and had a 3 day migraine. I skipped the two side crosses, and some of the details in the top, but in my opinion it looks just fine and no one will notice if I don't say anything.. so shhhh don't tell!

Perhaps not my best quick framing job (I did it right after kiddo got done with soccer as we were changing clothes to go to the special mass and dinner.

Without further ado, the dining room proudly presents the final piece. (Bonus points to whoever can get the reference!)
