Framing a finished project

Hey everybody, I would love to hear your advice on how to mount a finished cross stitch project in a (photo) frame!

I have used professional help with that beforehand, but my last experience was really bad - the line of text that should have been straight somehow developed a nice curve. And it was a wedding present! So I decided to do everything myself with my next big project, but don't know where to start :)

I use a foam core mounting board and I pin the fabric to the board rather than lace. (I have laced small pieces, but I really prefer pinning.) The hardest part is the stretching/pinning to make sure the design is centered and straight, so just take your time with it. (When I had Pumpkin Swirl framed, the lady who did the framing spent an entire eight hour shift just on the pinning.)
