Re: Lap frame is here whoop whoop - update 13/12/15
Haven't been on for a while, and have missed it, so I thought I would post an update.
Progress isn't very good, I spent ages preparing the fabric for the Pokemon picture to realise that my counting was wrong so had to start again with the gridding ahhh!
Then, after work and volunteering got in the way, I thought yay time to put up Christmas decs and then stitch time! Ha ha thought fate - I slipped (bounced more like) down about five steps, bruising my back, coccyx and elbow. Sitting, lying down, walking etc is painful, so no stitching or Christmas decs up either
After all that, here is my update:

Oh how pretty!!!! Sounds like you've been super busy, and I hope that you soon find more time to stitch. Sorry to learn of your fall down the steps and hope that you heal quickly!!!!

Ouch! That hurts to think about. Glad nothing broke but I'm sure those bruises are very painful. Sending a virtual (as it doesn't hurt at all) and hopes that you heal quickly.
Very pretty update!

Ever get the idea someone is trying to tell you something...? Sorry about about your poor person; stairs always seem to win, don't they. However, the stitching looks marvellous.

Owwwww! I did just that in July! I broke a rib and damaged my sacrum....
I hope your bruises and pain go quickly (I still hurt after all this time after sitting for a long time! ) Your stitching looks good though!

Ooouuccchhh that is not good or at all helpful is it. I do hope the pain eases very soon and you can get more freedom of movement and some stitching.
Love your update on this beautifully stitched gorgeous design.

Thank you all for your kind wishes, no stitching update as I still can't sit comfortably.
However I did manage to get the Christmas decs up, although the bottom of the tree doesn't have a lot of lights as I couldn't bend down, so I thought I would post a few pictures of them instead. All the decorations on the trees (yup I have four ) are handmade, mostly by my Mum (everything with beads) or by me.
I am so proud of her work, and I hope you like it too xxx

Oooo, ouch! I did the exact same thing a few months ago, slipped and bounced down the stairs, bruising the exact same areas--back, coccyx, and elbow. My neck wasn't feeling too great either. Wow. It's awe inspiring how much you use those areas once you become aware of them in this way, isn't it? Needless to say I pay very close attention to where I put my feet going down stairs these days.
Beautiful decorations!

What beautiful trees. Lovely decorations too, you & your mum must keep very busy making them. Hope you are feeling better after your fall.

Awesome project, would love to do a fractal at some point. Also have been looking for a large lap frame - I know you've recently done the highland fling down the stairs (hope you feel better soon!) but before that do you think the lap frame helped you sit back in your chair more comfortably or do you find yourself leaning forward? I've had to stop stitching for 2-3 months because my floor stands made me lean forward and I wrecked my back, just wondering if a lap stand would be better.
Look forward to seeing this project take shape!
