HAED Foxglove Ball by Aimee Stewart! Update April 11, 2016

Post by monandjeff »

I think it's time to share with you my first HAED wip!. It is Foxglove Ball by Aimee Stewart. I *planned* to start it on the first day of 2016 as I thought I should start something new and big in the beginning of a new year. But I did not like the 25ct DMC evenweave I bought so I ordered another piece of fabric. I started this on on January 22, 2016. After working on it for 1 month and still have not finished one page I felt kind of bored so I put it away for 2 months.......and last week I picked it up again after seeing all other people sharing their wips here. This one is being worked on 28ct Jobelan with 1 over 1 DMC floss. It has a total of 625x833 = 520625 stitches.

January 22, 2016:
Big start!

February 1, 2016:
Parking and cross country....I was confused and almost lost....

April 10, 2016:
5600 stitches done! That is 1% of the total stitches! Filling in the gaps/holes after cross country was painful but I managed it :D .

I hope I can finish page 1 by the end of April. I can't wait to start page 2 which seems a lot more fun to do!

It's looking good. I also find that filling in the gaps takes more time than you think...

:applesauce: :applesauce: Great progress! Pieces with a lot of confetti take longer but it is so worth the effort for the beautiful detail you get. I love the colors of this one and am looking forward to your updates!

You've made great progress and your stitching is lovely. I love the colors, too. I'll be following this thread to see it progress.

I stitched 400 stitches last night! which is quite a lot for me on a normal working day as I work fulltime and only have at most 4 hours of stitching eveynight. Hope I can finish page 1 this week. Its so exciting to get things done. :whoop:
