This is really going well! I also think that framing the finished picture at your destination might be an even better option, as glass might break in a suitcase plus it can get quite heavy.

:applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: She really is looking great Debby and what a good idea to take it with you to be framed there.
I did that with the 25th anniversary and 18th birthday ones except I sent them down earlier to my framer.

Well done and I am sure she will be fully stitched ready to go in your suitcase. :D

Graduation is May 7th - I'm heading out there a few days prior, so I really have to get busy.

Here is Tink as of last night. I'm getting a bit more stitching time in this week as I had taken most of the week off because friends were coming to visit but they cancelled the night before they were to arrive. (The weather reports of snow scared them - wimps. :-) )

I'm doubting I'll finish her in time - lots of semi-confetti and blended needles, but I'm giving it my best (and staying up way too late!!).

Love it Debby and she is looking really great. Keep going and I am sure you will finish it in time. So sorry your friends got scared off by the snow reports - did it happen?

We only got about 4-5 inches....typical spring snow - it was gone the next day.

I did not meet my goal of having Tinkerbell done before I go to California for the graduation. I was going to take her with me and show Katrina her unfinished gift, but after talking to a friend (thanks!), I decided not to. Instead. I will take a copy of the cover of the kit, which really does not do the stitched piece justice. That way, Katrina will know what her gift is, but when she sees it, I think she'll be surprised by the vivid colors and beautiful design. I should be able to finish it within a few days of getting home and then I'll take it to be framed and off Tink will fly to California.

Anyway, here is where I stopped tonight - so close!

Your friend will be Blown Away by the Finished MASTERPIECE!!! :whoop: :whoop:

Although I've never been a fan of fairies and mystic this piece has really caught my interest.

Well done Debby!!
