The bird is beautiful and beautifully stitched!! And nice start on the new one - specialty fibers are fun, aren't they? (And I just looked at the chart at 123stitch - love it!)

Thank you squirrel! The frog was a very fun stitch quick and departure from my usual style. I am trying to get out of my comfort zone with charts and stitch a few for no other reason than they are just fun.

Thank you as well Debby! 123stitch is a dangerous place. I needed some more needles and then I got the email that the new L*K mystery sampler was available so into the cart that went. Somehow another Ink Circles chart and two CCN charts ended up in there as well.

I agree! I love plain old DMC, but it is so much fun to try other threads.

That finch is just....  :applesauce: Incredible detail. and I think the home of the needleworker is going to be great! Love that fabric you’re using! Some shaded fabrics are just too 'loud'!

Cute mouse needle magnet    (don't usually use the word cute but it is the right word for this!

Thanks Wendy! The fabric is 28 ct Lugana by PTP called Legacy. This is my first project with this color, but I have a feeling it will be used quite a bit. I think Lugana is my favorite fabric although I have not tried Jobelan or Jazlyn yet.

I love my needleminder too. I am on the hunt for another since I only have the one. If I am going to rotate WIPs each one needs its own, right?

I found the needle nanny at http://www.puffinco" target="_blank. com
They have the mouse and a wonderful owl....sadly No Puffins
They are available in UK and France, but the selection is limited.

But they do have a link to a Puffin Cam :applesauce:

That is sad they do not have a puffin minder with puffin being the name of the company. I ordered another minder from them as well. Although i really want to gwt on from cirrus creations. There are some great ones there.

Jobelan is fantastic fabric - I'm torn between it and Lugana as to which is my favorite. As for needle minders, definitely! I have one or two for every WIP. I even keep a pair of scissors in each bag - nothing worse than taking your stitching somewhere and not having scissors.

I think most of my needle minders have come from Cirrus Creations - LOVE the selection and quality and price.

 I finished the Finch! Yay! :whoop:

This was finished last Friday July 8th. Sorry for the delay in putting the picture up, but I started my next project and literally didn't want to put it down to do anything else. I did change the name of the bird which is in French. It is supposed to say Le Pinson des abres, but the des abres part was too fiddly for me so I left if off. Hoping I didn't butcher the French language in the process.

Image

There won't be much stitching time for me tomorrow, but I hope on Sunday to give some love to Home of a Needleworker since I already finished Part I of the Lizzie Kate Mystery Sampler - Spooked!
