This is beautiful! It will be treasured for a lifetime, so if it is finished a bit late, in my opinion, no biggie!

This one definitely needs the back-stitching to bring out the details. That weird looking mess on the right side is a thread with the needle pointing into the material, and the shadow of the thread.

This is going to be one of the prettiest Christmas stockings! And it will be perfect with the back stitching. I agree this is clearly a design that requires the back stitch. I think those are the times when back stitching is really fun because it brings out the details and makes a piece really pop!

I'm one of those people who actually loves doing back stitch. I leave it all until the end and enjoy watching the picture come to life.

I really do like the idea of getting one of the collection books but finding it so very hard to find a good photo of the projects--I will persevere!!

I have both here and will try to post pictures somewhere, unless I find a good link. Have to run right now to make crab salad then take my granddaughter to the pool.
