Very pleased to say that after only working on the same project for most of June and July, Cinderella by Joan Elliott is finished!

I'm not a OAAT stitcher, but sometimes you have to be to get things done  . She is stitched on 28ct Brittney Opal in Speckled Egg by Jodyri Designs (1 over 1 for the skin, everything else 2 over 2) and I switched the kreniks required to PTBs.

I am very much looking forward to reacquainting myself with my other WIPs lol!

:applesauce: :applesauce: She is absolutely beautiful! Worth making the other WIPs be patient for a while, though I'm sure they are now each demanding your attention.

I thought it was time I updated this thread with a few finishes that I have had over the last three months.

First up, possibly one of the most stitched designs ever - Home of a Needleworker Too by LHN, I stitched mine on Vintage Country Mocha Edinburgh linen with my choice of Nina's hand dyed silks and cottons:

Then there was Alice in Wonderland, a design by The Little Stitcher, also stitched on Vintage Country Mocha Edinburgh linen using my choice of Nina's hand dyed silks and cottons as well as an AVAS Soie d'Alger for the central quote:

Here is my most recent finish, Stephanie Desmidt 1844 by Reflets de Soie stitched on White Edinburgh linen using the DMC conversion provided with the chart:
Image
It contained a fair bit of over 1 darning, which on 40ct was interesting lol:

I have one WIP left to take me through to the end of the year and that is Band Sampler, a design from SANQ magazine that I am stitching on White Edinburgh with DMC threads:

I no longer stitch anywhere near as much as I used to, which for me is actually a good thing! Over the Summer I even had quite a bit of a destash of charts, threads and fabrics and there will probably be another one in the Spring. I have a few projects already planned for next year:

But we'll see how it goes, I'm not committing myself to anything, just that whenever I stitch I enjoy it!

For someone who confesses Not to stitch as much as she used too....you Certainly manage to produce many beautiful designs!

I love 'Home of a Needleworker' and the Alice in Wonderland is fantastic! Made me smile. :D

Well done for all these....and Oh! That Stash!! :whoop: :whoop:

There was a time I used to stitch most days - now I'm lucky if I pick up a needle once a fortnight for a couple of hours, which is why there will only be 20 finishes this year compared to last year's 50!

:applesauce: :applesauce: It is good to see your beautiful updates and exciting stash! In terms of the amount of time spent stitching, the only rule I try to keep is that I stitch what I want and when I want so that stitching remains fun and never a chore!

Amanda, they are all beautiful and such an array of colours and threads used too. An amazing amount of beauty in 3 months.
Love the stash for the next years projects and such gorgeous colours in the fabrics without even looking at the threads too closely.

I too have stopped stitching to a timetable and deviate to jig saw puzzles, cross word puzzles or my books. Life is too short to continue pushing ones self to do something just because it is there and has to be finished - date deadlines excepted of course.
