This is a good place to rest while you are waiting for your Dr's appt. I hope she can provide you some relief. And I also hope that the pain eases up before then.

Sarclanat, I am happy your children are there for you. I have been a few days with no other painkiller than just ginger, but if this frosty weather continues and gets harder (that is, Mr. Freeze gets angrier), my lungs may be in trouble.

I have spoken quite seriously to Mr Freeze on your behalf, but he gently pointed out that, really, this was his time of year and that he wasn't trying to be miserable. He also said he'd have a word in the correct ears so that perhaps there would be more northern lights to distract you.

I don't know about northern lights, but if I see a little flash of them, I am glad. I've been stitching a bit recently and I also found out one friend of mine has 1 ring on certain finger of her left hand, so that means I must stitch an engagement present, and 1 wedding present, once the said friend has said the famous words.

You can hear the coughing from one of the rooms along the hallway.
I'm still here. First feminine problems and rheuma, and now this stupid cold! I've been here for weeks and poor nurses have to escort me everywhere! But this dizzy feeling just refuses leaving me alone. I'm not leaving until this stupid dizziness goes away!

That's right, you're not! :) If things come in threes, then once this cough and cold are finished, you're on the right road. Meanwhile, here's honey and lemon for that cough and throat.

Oh I would love to see the northern lights, that has always been my dream.

Well I went to see my doctor last Friday, my pain is not related to either the arthritis i have nor my fibromyalgia, she has referred me to a neurologist with suspected MS, have to wait now for a hospital appointment to come through and see how we go from there.

I just take each day at a time, do what I can, when I can. At the minute I gave last wash on, dinner cooking in the sow cooking do the rest of my day is stitching and stretching my legs from time to time.

Hope everyone else is feeling much better :D

Hope you can get an appointment with the neurologist soon. I know how hard it can be to wait with uncertainty, but a proper diagnosis is important so that you can get the treatment that you need. Sounds like your plan of doing what you can when you can is the right one. And stay here as long as you need to. Keeping :x: and sending lots of .

Hope you get sorted out soon. A good idea to do whatever you can, have a rest before starting something else. Rest the days you are not so good. Hugs & prayers you will soon find out what is wrong & that you can be guided to the right way to cope with the situation.

I sure hope your situation will be sorted soon. That doesn't sound any nice. Just listen to your body and rest if you have to and when you can.

Aw, Izzi, thanks...I guess. It's weird that a coughing med may cause dizziness, but it does. Or then it's a combination of some things I don't know. Like if ginger is combined with some other thing, separately they do not do harm, but together they may. I refuse believing that, though.

Well, I've been sleeping a lot. Last nigh I coughed like a madwoman, but now it may be the ginger and the cough syrup may have gotten the upper hand. Or that's what I hope. Last time Dad checked (he visited me today) there was no fever. The cough seems to have lessened. It's a good sign.
But! I'm still stuck in here.
Why?
Because of my rheuma! It's raining, and my body sure knows it and makes sure I know it too.
On top of that there's no hope for one single stitch to happen any time soon, or as long as I need that cough syrup of mine. It makes me dizzy, and when I am dizzy, I can't concentrate very well. So no stitching or even knitting. Just resting and listening to the radio. Yes, and taking long naps.

Well, some stitching has happened here. But only a little. We shall see, how long I need that syrup. Poor nurses had to bring me another painkiller this morning, thanks to my rheuma, who had turned nasty. Well, the painkiller tames it so that I'm able to walk.

Hope that you are feeling better soon mysterystitcher, these bugs can be really nasty, and its so cold wet and windy just lately, it sure goes right through you.

I dont know how but i slept 10 hours solid last night, first time ever i have done that, had to take 2 painkillers as i was in agony, so maybe they knocked me out.

Thanks for all your kind words ladies, i have learnt to listen to my body, i no longer fuss about housework, i just do what i can, when i can. I have dentist at 10am tomorrow, my youngest daughter will come with me, i couldn't get out without someone with me, and if the not so friendly receptionist is on, then you get an ear bashing and maybe even your appointment being cancelled if you are even one minute late, so we have to leave extra early to make sure we get there on time.

I hope everyone else is well, and the awful weather at the minute is not having to many affects on people.
