I am super excited!!!

Post by Nicola Main »

I emailed Kate Bothy of Bothy Threads (whose company produces fabulous cross stitch kits including my favourite Wrendales) and asked about being a volunteer stitcher and sent her a couple of photos. What happens is a certain few people will get sent a new kit, they have to stitch it, and then send it back to Kate and her team with all the remaining threads so she can use them to know how much thread was used and keep them on record and for stock photos for the kits when produced. Well she emailed me this afternoon and said yes! She has seen the progress of Billy the Barn Owl on the Facebook group and really likes him! She said I could potentially get paid £60 for stitching the kit and sending it back. I actually never even thought about getting paid for doing it I just wanted to do it because it sounded awesome and I'd get to stitch new kits before anyone else :tizzy:

I've sent her my address and awaiting her reply but I'm so excited I can't tell you! Watch this space!

Oh thank you Mabel! Not sure if it'll be a Wrendale she'll send me but I'd be happy stitching anything to be honest! xxx

Sounds just the job. Sure you'll enjoy it.

The only problem, though, is you've got to send the kit back and not keep it. What a shame.

Richard

Looks like I'll be putting Billy on hold for the next couple of months at least! My new kit from Kate arrived in the post this morning and it's so cute! Will post progress pics as I go of course! Do you think I should post them on my Wrendale thread or on a separate one? xxx

If, as it seems, it's a Wrendale, I think it ought to go with your other Wrendales - it's part of the family after all!

If these are new designs, are you allowed to post progress pics, I wonder? :thinks:
