Glad to hear you're on the mend and those bookmarks are fantastic! I'm sure they'll love them. Also good that your next project isn't too taxing with confetti.
I am intending to grab a cup of coffee in about 10 minutes and head to the balcony with Owl #2 and get started on it. A lovely mild day with no wind so far so it should be good out there - as long as that sun stays hidden.

OK I am going to try and load a picture of my latest stitching. It is called Winter Walk from RTO. I have had a couple of short stitching sessions on it and then today off and on for most of it.
Hurray it worked now fingers crossed everyone can see it.
The reason for the interrupted work today is that The Brat aka Tuppence came inside with a young lizard in his gob heading for my bedroom with it. Got him and it outside and thankfully he lost it under the big water tank - which he can't get under. Hopefully it has gone somewhere safer out of his reach. I do not want to stand on something like that in the dark of the night.

*phew* for the lizard surviving its Tuppy ordeal! We had a thrush given us by Lexi some time ago - it got into my pan cupboard and boy did it make a mess - and then on my birthday she brought me a mouse, but DH stepped on it and damaged it irreparably before it could be presented to me...
That's a lovely design Sally, it'll give you so much fun stitching it!
A great finish and a nice beginning cross-stitch-wise, Sally.
Tuppy meant the best, but it turned out as always, right? You obviously did not value his present. And yes, the little creature was lucky. And you are lucky Tuppy did not bring you a goanna.

Lucky lizard indeed!! Since our cats have gone over the bridge to new hunting grounds all the lizards in our garden now have all got tails!!
BTW in case I haven't already said....Great design!!
Oooooh Sally you are making great progress on this design.
Those owls always make me smile.
Your stitching is so neat and even and it seems you are able to stitch for a little bit longer each time? Hopefully anyway and Hurrah if that is the case.
That is going to be so much fun to stitch, Sally! And you've made a good start!
Laverne sends her regrets to Tuppy that you didn't fully appreciate his lizard gift, which she thinks was truly wonderful. Fortunately for most of the lizards around here, she is limited to jumping at them through the windows or screens, though occassionally one gets into the house and its a free for all till I can rescue it.

I'm just thankful that so far I have been able to head Tuppy and his 'gift' outside before he could drop it under my bed! It's his most favourite place. I have horrible visions on him brining in a snake sometimes, we do get the occasional water snake in the yard - and once inside the house, from the nearby creek. As for the Goanna well fortunately we don't have those anywhere around here.
Thanks for the lovely comments on my first update., A day off from stitching today though as my eye is a bit sore - pushed it a bit hard yesterday. I know it will be a lot better once I have the new glasses fitted for my new vision. I see the optometrist next Monday - yay

Even when our fleabags bring back something they shouldn't, we always make sure we praise them up. Doesn't stop us trying to release any live prey though. Good spot.
Love that one and hope your OD can get you sorted on Monday. Ugh.. so far Max hasn't brought us anything, although I try and keep him inside all the time.
Thanks everyone. I am taking a couple days rest but will be back stitching tomorrow. Sadly groceries etc need to be bought and things posted so that sort of eats up the energy.
