This is my first Riolis kit and I'm so looking forward to it! I've made a start already, two blended strands together. There are a lot of different types of stitch in this project from single stranded, double stranded and triple stranded (some with 2 of one colour and 1 of the other) crosses to single half stitches and single crosses I'm sure I'll be fine! Just very different to the easy Bothy Threads and the colours are just beautiful! I'm stitching it on Charles Craft 14 count light oatmeal aida instead of the white provided
I'm sure you'll very quickly adjust to the different stitch types, in the beginning it'll take some getting used to but it really is not difficult if you take it one stitch at a time.
I hope it's ok for you if I post this here, but here's what I made for my Riolis kits. It has the single colours and also the combined ones in the order they appear on the colour code and it also tells me how many strands are needed for each colour. I can then, if I have some leftovers of a particular colour, store my threads for later (because at least in my kit often there are only 3-4 stitches of one colour needed). Maybe this is something you'd like to consider as well? (Just telling you about this because it works like a charm for me).

What a great idea as well!
I have edited my first post because I somehow forgot what I wanted to say in the first place

How exciting, Nicola! The effect will be great with the different "depths", created by the number of strands and the blending.
Sina's idea seems very good to me

I agree that the colors are beautiful and the difference in the stitches should give it an interesting perspective. Looking forward to the updates!

Instead of starting my new Riolis Wreath with Bird Cherry (which is very tempting!) I have decided to continue with the Gerberas which I had started then got sidetracked by Bothy Threads! I will do this one along with Helga for variation as I do miss stitching florals and I'm sure I'll miss Wrendales when stitching florals!

Lovely start! And yes besides being lovely, I'm sure they are very appetizing if you are a cow
