Does anyone else have trouble posting on here? Takes me hours to make a post. Keep getting a “general error” message and won’t load post.

Paul, I'll alert Alex. I don't seem to have any problem, but there have been various issues recently. Thanks for letting me know.

UPDATE: expect a pm from Alex.

Just as I was thinking..."no I don't have a problem"
I did! I answered a post and when I hit 'submit' I got the same message. I had to log back in and my reply was already in place!
Wonder what will happen when I hit 'submit' on this!

*edit* All seems OK :x:

I got an error message hitting the reply button just now (PC, Windows 7, Firefox) - it said "Too many SQL connection". I've had that problem with my own website sometimes when I tried to update or access webmail, it generally means that the database (which is what puts this forum together) is busy or too many calls are made upon it. In my own case it was because I don't have a dedicated server, but just shared server space with a host - it seems when other users on the server are very busy (lots of traffic) it can make other websites on the same server throw a wobbly. Is the Forum on a dedicated server?

since last post which DID show on here, have. had AOL phoning me. They have had problems in one area & have fixed it. urrah! Thoguht it was me!!!

All I wanted to say in the prev posts was thank you for lovely welcome, your favourite flower websites & also was going to add today I have M Sherry dogs chart which I am starting for granddaughters. they love animals & am gong to put in in spare bedroom for when they stay. I know they will really love it. Of course I love the butterfly & the bee on this as well as cute dogs.

Also wanted to say while on holiday found some lovely stitchy items. DH & I are CSBs (charity shop browsers) & were really very lucky to find some things to keep us busy over the winter & beyond! Sorry not bragging, just some I could not resist even though I have enough at home. Did a spot of compulsive buying.

Thank goodness things seem to be clearer & I can get something on here now. Glad I am not the only one who has trouble getting through. as said before, security is such a BIG issue nowadays.

'xcuse typos but I wanted to put this up while the going is good & I will get back when I can. Need to go now but wanted to say Thank You for welcome & I had not forgotten to thank you, just could not get posted.

Wil be back on here as soon as I can - busy few days coming up :D

Glad the problems have been resolved! Charity shops are great - I've never been lucky enough to find any good stitchy stuff but a sizable part of my wardrobe comes from there :-)

Thank you for the excitement now I'm back!

I did want to come on here in the first place to hone up my dormant skills once again & I do love x stitching. And of course always excellent to converse with people who have more skills than I. And of course, always good to learn new ways of doing things.

I like looking at books with all types of needlework/craft work in them & notice on here hardanger & other creative forms of working with a needle. Such diversity.

I am a huge fan of Charity Shops too. You will not believe the best ever find I had - a complete Ultimate Daylight Floor Lamp with Chart Holder, Magnifier and Accessories Tray and it came with a spare Daylight bulb, all for £15! I have never found such a good bargain since.

Glad you are still with us.

Delighted to know you are still with us butterflies and bees. I guess there is something to be said for living downunder as I have never yet had a problem posting on this or any forum thanks to the time difference I guess.
