Finished Object! My stitched spine is done.

Post by Inkysloth »

Hi folks,

I've not been active on any message boards for... quite a while, as life's been pretty busy. (Mostly good stuff, just not left any spare brain for things like conversation!)

I started my stitched spine in July 2017, and finished in August this year. I'm sure it wouldn't have taken someone else so long, but I'm a slow sewer. It's taken from an MRI I had back in 2013 or thereabouts, and converted with Pattern Wizard's free converter.

Thanks everyone! I’m gradually working through all the various bits I’ve had scanned - the next project is my right hand, but at about 3 times actual size. I’d like to do it in less than a year, but that depends on how sleepy I am after work etc.

Glad there's no blood visible, as I'm more than a little squeamish.
It's not your average, run of the mill project, is it?

Nicely done, though, and a talking point of the first order!

Regards,

Richard.

Welcome Back and what a great finish.

It will always be unique to you too.

What will you do with all the pieces when they are stitched? will they be framed separately or together?

Great work on the conversion too
