Easter Garden
Not sure this actually counts as a craft, but I want to show it off
At our evening service yesterday we had a slightly different approach: there was the usual singing, prayers and reflections on the Scriptures but we were also encouraged to meditate on the meaning of Easter, and spring with its new life symbolism, by engaging in a hands-on craft. Some people made Easter cards or paper daffodils, but I chose to do an Easter garden. It starts with a yoghurt pot on soil, then moss and greens and pebbles and twigs to make the crosses, and just let your reflections guide your hands!
(My garden turned out to harbour rather more life than intended in the shape of a woodlouse and some ants which had hitched a ride on the moss. They were evicted...)

Very beautiful garden and so glad you were able to evict the unwanted 'guests'

I agree about both the lovely garden and the "guests"!karen4bells wrote:Very beautiful garden and so glad you were able to evict the unwanted 'guests'

Re: Easter Garden
How beautiful Mabel, I can see the thought you have put into this reflective and meaningful garden.

Re: Easter Garden
Looks lovely. Could make it into something like a terrarium and have it for a while.
Love terrariums (or is it terreria?) but having black thumbs, nothing survives my attentions.
In our house creepy-crawlies = food for cats or spiders. The one thing that upsets us is the silvery trails left over the carpets when slugs get brought in on the cats. Or the live mice/rats Ozzie deliberately brings in wrapped in a big leaf (so we won't notice). One mouse got away from him in the living room last year, crawled under the sofa and died. We didn't find the source of the smell until it was in the white wriggling stage. Not pleasant at all. Come to think of it, where is the green face emoticon on CSF, similar to this one: ?
Regards,
Richard.

Re: Easter Garden
Good question, Richard. There is an ability to faint and this one, looking under the weather and this one might have been to the point, too

Re: Easter Garden
I do like your Nature/Easter Garden. Well thought out, Mabel
@ Richard
I can only find this one and I think it's 'green with envy'
We have creepy crawlies too. Big Hairy centipedes with Loads of legs. They scurry and you don't know in what direction they are heading until they RUN!!!

Re: Easter Garden
Beautifully arranged garden, Mabel. I like the little pebble path leading to the stone.

Re: Easter Garden
What a fabulous idea to do this and it certainly fits into the Meditation on Easter theme. Well Done Mabel.
