Of course it might have been the PUFFINS who flew over Hengest and frightened him which caused the mess!! I know that that they had been very excited over the arrival of the Sand Eels (their favourite food) which had arrived off shore!! Certainly the Mountain Gorillas were dancing and watching all the Puffins!!

Mabel, I think herd of unicorns, unless you are referring to the group of winged stallions, like Pegasus, which could be considered a flock I suppose. There was a group of Hobbits visiting the garden (you know how much they love gardens) that were startled when they flew overhead, but were enchanted and are now looking forward to seeing the unicorns too.

If nothing else, we are definitely one of the most imaginative group of stitchers around!!

Thank you f or messages & photo of Hengest. Very pretty. Will read back to see what else is on S&G & also follow up on the lovely designs other than Hengest. As I told Richardandtracey today is 3rd day I have head headache due to hot & sultry weather. Just came on to let you know why I had not replied to either. Hopefully headaches wiil clear in a few days.

We have a room halfway between the Stash & Grab and St Cross Stitcher's that's just right for people who need a quiet place until they feel better. The view is personalised, so whatever you would like to see in the garden is there!

And it's naturally cool with a gentle breeze -- just right!
Oh, and this isn't the sort of place that demands you be replying right away, like Facebook, I guess. We're much more laid back, and we also understand that life often gets in the way. No pressure here from us! :D

Just spotted Allyn on another thread (and it is her - not Alex or myself trying out fixes). Hurrah!! :whoop:  :whoop:

Thank you all, feeling better now. Not doing a chart yet, just sorting out threads & sewing the lines on fabric on a couple of kits in readiness. Easy work but will soon be back to doing an actual project. At least I am keeping occupied & not bored with doing simple things yet.

Just relaxing here, having finished various fatigues. Large glass of iced elderflower cordial, please. :D

Did I say it was hot here in the not-so-wet West? No? Well it is. Whew! But very welcome. :king:

FGIF, as we used to say in the old days. I'm just going into the garden to pick the blackcurrrants. There aren't that many, after all, but I'm determined to get them before the blackbird does. Or the sparrows, who are on a warning, having nobbled my peas! It's meant to rain all weekend (and I mean RAIN), so I'm all for picking the fruit while it's dry.

Then in for a nice glass of something-or-other. :wine:

Well, first off, of course, whatever Carole wants is behind the bar for being a cracking good moderator. Oh, and it's her birthday! :D :toast:

Then, you'll never guess who I'm having lunch with tomorrow... 8)

Ewan McGregor. He is Scottish and one of my favorites. I loved "Christopher Robin". Anyway, if I were in Scotland and having lunch with someone I would want it to be him.

Not quite so exotic, but utterly wonderful! Agi!! She wants me to say hi to you all, of course.

I'd post a pic, but having problems with that...

Yes, we just decided with my OH that we wanted to go to Scotland... and did. And if I am here, of course, I wanted to see our Serinde. Not Ewan McGregor!!! We had a wonderful lunch together.   And, she took me to a lovely shop and we both got some STASH! :whoop:
