The Tail Is Finished!
There's still a few things to be done, but this was the biggie - so I'm now fairly confident I'll make the deadline for summer assessment. Drinks all round! And cakes! And anything celebratory that takes your fancy!
An amazing tail and an amazing tale to tell about its completion!!

I've just sent in a booking form for my Guild of Weavers, et al at our usual venue starting in November, and running until May 2022. A leap of faith, but even the possibility of meeting up is so exciting. Our first two meetings (Sept & Oct) are a lecture and a workshop streamed online, so we won't need the space (they don't support streaming). Now for them to decide how many people can attend, I guess... And I think we'll have to sort out risk assessments, too. Everyone'll need to bring own refreshment, for starters. But who knows! Scotland expects to be at Level 0 by the end of June, all going well, so by November... (I know, too hopeful by half).
Drinks are on Bruce - he's been safely finished and delivered with all his bits and bobs to the tutor who will deliver him equally safely (I trust) to Hampton Court Palace
I'll second that and add another and that the judges have the same good sense as we do and know that this is pretty close to perfection. (Being judges they will have to find something, no matter how minimal it is, but they are going to have to use a monstrous size magnifying glass to find anything)

When not required to be RSN OCD I tend to go for wadding and lacing over foam core board, which works very well for anything not too big (certainly up to 8" square, probably fine for 10" too). But the herringboning-to-double-mount-board-with-calico is definitely a useful skillto have, although for anything "private" I would draw theline at the sateen part, especially if it's going to be framed anyway
I can hear!! Yesterday I had my hearing aids fitted.
The world is suddenly a noisier place! I can hear the keys on my computer keyboard!
I can also hear D/H...the first time he speaks not the repeats
So I have asked the Elves to turn down the music in the S&G to normal levels.
