I agree! This piece will not only be beautiful, it will commemorate a very unusual, difficult, special time in your life (and ours).

Thank you for your support on me doing this modified piece :D

I tried laying out a few variations for around the outside and as normal am struggling to make up my mind  I cannot fit as much in round the border as I hoped so will carry on thinking about how to do it and appropriate bits to use.

I did a few more stitches on it this evening but It is " not a really challenging evening stitching piece" so I have just re-clamped up a suitable piece on the dining room table:

I'm looking forward to getting back on this :whoop: and having done a couple of stitches I had forgotten it is on 25 count evenweave rather than the 18 count Aida that the last one was on so that will make it easier  .

It has been lovely and warm this week so I have had the opportunity to do a bit more on bunny:

But my main focus is my Peacock and am working on the orchard trees in the background:

While I remember what I have done.....

I have just modified a commercial picture frame by cutting it down. The outside frame was done using a saw, the w shaped nails were taken out and reused. The hardboard back and the clear plastic were scored on either side (metal ruler protecting the side of the hardboard you want to keep while cutting ) and then folded and they broke along the score line:

It has gone together again and once I have mounted up my enchantress I will show you what she looks like :)

Eek, that looks and sounds so complicated :tizzy:

Whilst I can tackle a lot of DIY stuff, remodelling frames is beyond me, I'll stick with my local framer - though I wish he wasn't so expensive. :D

I'm glad you found a way that works for you :applesauce:

I can't wait to see the framed Enchantress.

I have got it mounted:

but the plastic sheet is very reflective. They used to do the plastic with a matt protective film that you could just leave on but this time they printed all over it to remind people to remove it. Do I want to buy a sheet of matt plastic :thinks:

:applesauce: :applesauce: I am amazed at your abilities. The frame is perfect for your Enchantress. If the reflection is annoying, then I would change it. You put so much work into the stitching and framing that you deserve it being as lovely a presentation as possible. Hard to tell from the photo. Looks perfect right now to me.

Oh perfect!

Very well done indeed.

She is gorgeous and the frame does set her off beautifully.

I agree with Carole, if it doesn't look right to you, change the plastic sheet, she does deserve to be shown to her best advantage.

Perfect framing :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: but I would echo what the others have said, if the reflective plastic annoys you, change it - she deserves it!

Exactly! And well done on the rework of the frame. The frame is perfect for her.
