As we have become very aware over the past couple of years, mental health is very important!
I think that might be an understatement. We tend to have a fair amount of activity here in our (wish it wasn't just virtual) S&G.

We have some friends staying this weekend so I'm making cranachan. I toasted the oat flakes for it this afternoon, they smelt delicious...so much so that the site manager who was fixing a broken lock asked if I was baking and looked hopeful and hungry.
I have found that if we need something fixed a home made biscuit is a good plan.
Now, because only Mabel Figworthy could have a 1st of April birthday, I feel that -- as well as the usual birthday thread -- we really should be having a party. We haven't had one for, well, days! So the bunting is out, and the unicorns have been brushed and their horns burnished. Plus the treehouse has been swept.
Ooh, I love a party
Especially as we're isolating so as not to endanger our Netherlands trip - that's where I'll be doing some serious celebrating!
Not sure what Kagemand is but I'm sure it's good
Lexi's expression is perfect. I'm amazed that she sat quietly enough for a photo with the ribbon still on her. Quite a good kitty.
Everything sounds scrumptious and I'm so glad its here in the S&G so I can taste everything. Your cake sounds delicious Mabel. I agree that anything with almonds and raspberries has to be mouthwatering good! The weather in the garden is perfect as usual. I noticed a few hobbits around also. Wherever there is something good to eat they always show up and add to the fun.

I got the birthday cake name wrong Mabel, well, really, I just didn't want to type Slagroomtaart, I don't know if that's the correct Dutch cake, and it sounds quite rude in English and I wouldn't want you to think I was insulting you. ( I googled Dutch Birthday cake, and slagroomtaart is what Google thinks it is so blame Google if this is wrong too
Google is, amazingly, correct in this case - "slagroom", in spite of its inauspicious sound to English-speaking (hearing?) ears, simply means "whipped cream", and "taart" is our word for cake.
Oooo! cream cakes! That sounds nice just about now. Perhaps after dinner, though...
I'm having a quiet virtual libation following a thoroughly enjoyable weekend of friends visiting. And then DH has the all-clear to drive, his knee is coming along well said the medic who saw him at his 6-week check this morning.
