Beautiful updates! You’ve been quite busy. And I laughed at your bird story…I could picture the process clearly in my mind. And thanks for the dragon history. I love dragons, winged and celestial. I would like to have a little pocket sized dragon. My house it too small for a full sized one. :-)

Superb little blue tits.
You've certainly created a haven for your feathered friends.
As we're in a new build and the contractors are still buzzing around in their heavy vehicles we are slow to attract the birds but they are coming.
I know that pigeon are classified as nuisance birds by farmers but we have a pair here....at least we did until yesterday. A bird of prey must have taken one of the pair to feed it's young as there was a good number of feathers on the ground yesterday.
Sadly the remaining pigeon is still coming and spent the day waiting for it's mate. A clear case of pecking order I guess.

Thank you Ladies :)

It was a lovely evening last night in my conservatory and I managed to finish off the Bonsai's on the bottom of the Geisha:

Image

I am currently working on her belt which is nothing more than a single thread of metallic with the odd single full stitch along it. To get the positioning of the stitches in the right place I am just stitching in the belt first. I would normally do the backstitching after so it lays on top of the cross stitching but in this case I was confusing myself as to where they had to go.

Oh my goodness, I don't know how I missed this when we came back

This is such beautiful work Jo, such lovely stitching and although it may be bigger than your other piece, it will still match.

Lovely, just lovely.

Thank you ladies :) I have just finished my Geisha. First a close up of her hair pins:

And the full piece:

Image

So I can now start a new easy piece for the conservatory :tizzy:

In the meantime my Dragon sitting in the dining room has had a bit more of his head done:

Image

Hopefully now I am on to the areas that have more than a couple of stitches in each thread blend. This is a typical TW piece there is constant changes of thread colours and the last thing you want is a messy back so they each have to be changed neatly.

Absolutely beautiful Jo, somehow the Geisha seems serene to me.

The Dragon is going to be spectacular given it's a TW and of course your lovely stitching.

Thank you for your kind comments on my pieces. It is Sunday morning again so time to get back to providing you with weekly updates on my stitching:

Work on my Dragon has moved on to the neck:

Image

And in my Conservatory I have started work on "Lovely Mum":

Image

I did consider doing a Lanarte piece on evenweave but then remembered that I prefer Aida in the Conservatory as I normally work late into the evening and the Aida is easier to see. In the coming months I will also have to look into preparing to do the "Fall Fairy" :thinks: and there are some rather nice chinese pieces in the Stash.. It is so difficult to stay focused on just one desirable to make piece

Lovely Mum is such a sweet design, can't wait to see more.

Fall Fairy will go so well with your Woodland Enchantress.

Thank you ladies :D

I believe this Dragon is male as it is a "Celestial" dragon. According to Chinese mythology male dragons possess the power to fly to the heavens, while female dragons are earth bound. The lack of wings does not influence their ability to fly.

A blue and green dragon symbolizes nature, health/healing, and tranquillity.
