Err.
Not wildly fond of the Biscoff spread. I suppose we could try it...
Regards,
Richard

Re: 2023 Stash & Grab Virtual Pub
Getting materials together for a new kit - which should have been out in time for Christmas but as with so many things life got in the way. Oh well. On the other hand, one wholesaler I approached was extremely helpful about my ordering relatively small quantities!

Good on that wholesaler!
I'm having a quiet cup of tea . Tomorrow is the last of the pre-Christmas celebrations: YS's birthday. Unusually, we are going out to eat, but perhaps it being the culmination of 3 birthdays and Thanksgiving in under a fortnight may explain why? I will still make a cake, however. That's assuming we get to the country pub, about 10 miles north, because we also just had out FIRST SNOW! (about ¼" so nothing to write home about, except it's very early). But if there's more...
Speaking of cake, the Christmas Cake is baked, fed and put away until the next feeding. Tick!

Good idea to go our for it after all that cooking! Not surprised at the snow - Facebook threw up a Memory last week of a thinnish but covering blanket in our garden in late November two years ago. Here's hoping you'll be able to get to your celebration

Re: 2023 Stash & Grab Virtual Pub
We have a heady +2 deg here in the SE Borders
Still plenty of crisp snow though but the trees look pretty in the sunshine. After 3 days of staying in we managed to get out to the shops this morning.
We are also out for a meal with friends this evening. Our village pub has set up it's December festive menu.
Hope you get out for your meal tonight, Serinde

Lucky things. We had a dusting of snow that lasted barely an hour.

We did get out, and it was fine. Snowed a bit, but more a threat than a reality. Back roads were a bit slippy though. Got up to 4C here today! Luxury! Hope your evening out was equally fun, WW.
Back to making woven stars. And felt cats... (This is all to avoid Maids a Milking, you understand.)

Re: 2023 Stash & Grab Virtual Pub
We had a splendid evening thanks.
Don't usually go for the festive menu but it was perfect and the good part was no driving for us or our friends. We live at opposite of the village and the hotel/ pub is in the centre.
It used to have an excellent name but as all things a change of chef and COVID put paid to that. Now, new landlord and chef and things much improved.
Raining here so most of the snow gone although after rain yesterday evening/ overnight it all froze so skating rink pavements and driveways....that was fun when I went out to my volunteer session at the riding stables.

I bet!
Here, I am gearing up for the Strathendrick Stitchers Christmas Lunch. Need to find the list of things I must bring with me, being on the committee... but my "posy" is in a tall German-style Christmas mug, so quite cheery. (Need more foliage... not easy in my garden this time of year: the box and pernettya are taking a beating!) Feel quite smug, because I packed the bottom with newspaper to take up the depth. Still have the salad to make, but that will be simple.

Having a little celebration as I've just heard that the new kit will be included in Stitch Magazine's Christmas Wish List newsletter, and Bunny Beware has been accepted for their June/July issue

Hmm, don't think I'll be bothering the Trademark people anytime soon...

Nine years? Crikey! You deserve your favourite tipple from behind the bar. When I think of what you've accomplished in that time... well, you have every reason to be really, really proud.

Woot Woot! As if one needs a reason to celebrate this time of year! But we have a reason, and that's Carole's improving eyesight.

Eye is getting better every day. Weird getting used to. Haven't picked up the stitching yet (I think I'm afraid a little bit), but hope next week when things are a bit less hectic I will return to the afghan.. I'm getting of some of the puzzles/games I play on iPad.

Re: 2023 Stash & Grab Virtual Pub
That's great news, Carole. An excellent Christmas present. You are wise to take it slowly.
Re: 2023 Stash & Grab Virtual Pub
My plan is to spend New year's Eve and much of the day (we might go to a movie New Year's Day) on that poor lost forgotten Star Wars afghan. It's been on the table next to me since I last put it down.
