I actually use the sticky clear plastic covering that you use to cover books or things like business cards, as it also keeps the X Stitching clean and you can wipe it down. Got to be careful that you don't get bubbles in it though and do it slowly.
try craft glue - its white and it dries clear. But you might want to check that it is acid free. Ive used it before, but not sure about long term effect.
Talking about glues - has anyone covered a box or tin - what glue do you use - I don't think prit stick would be strong enough. Has anyone used pva? or does that go yellow with age?
I'm not sure when I'll get round to it but I would love to cover a tin or box.
You could try some of the scrapbooking tape rollers. Works like double sided tape, but as it's archival quality, guaranteed acid free. Also sticks really solid if you get the permanent rather than the repositionable ones.
A stitch in time is my idea of a perfect day!
