Hello to all cross stitchers!
I'm happy to meet you all! Such a wonderful forum and lots of info!
I am Oksana from Far East of Russia, a beginner stitcher. All my life I was career oriented office salary woman, but now, at age of 28 I've become addicted stitcher. It began slightly more than year ago then I've started to stitch temari (it is japanese thread balls) and spreaded this addiction to my friends here. If they said something like oh, i'm not a crafts-person, leave me alone, I told them: look at me, I was born in front of computer, never made a single cross stitch!
And then I thought: why? I OUGHT to do this single cross stitch, just to taste it. And bought my first kit...
Now I am here
Have only 2 finished works so far (but 3 yet in progress). Here are they:

I agree your finished works are very good. I like the rose that is a part of the wedding picture. Such great work.

If you are looking for some one to help change you, look in the mirror
Thank you very much for your warm welcome words and praising me I can see you are all from so different places!
I wish I could post new finishes often...
But when I opened crafts for myself I feel myself prisoner of the office... I am going to start convincing my hubby: woman was born to be a housewife and feminism was invented by men ))

Thank you, Tesha!Tesha wrote:Your temari looks great! I'm sure that I'll love the process but what do you do with them after all? Do you make them for friends, interior decoration or mostly for fun?
I do them for fun and for giving away. I love to present temaries to friends and haven't keep single ball except my first temari, freaky one
Also I've sold some. It isn't profitable business, but I was asked
Stitchindude, hello! I almost have a finished piece, so I'll boast this week
