Naureeb - The confetti patch I did yesterday has a nut or two in it at least I think that is what the brown bit is supposed to be.

Thank you all for your kind comments and encouragement - it all helps.

Hot off the table and just ahead of the next downpour. Fabulous weather here yesterday and today - every so often the heavens open and it rains buckets. Great watching it as it gets too dark to do very much for a short while. :)

Here is the latest hot off the needle. The greenery at the left hand side is the edge - well apart from some free standing things in golden brown shades by the looks of it..

Thanks for looking :)

Oh Yes, it's definitely time for tea according to that clock :D

You have made great progress on this lovely design Sally.

Is it the two teacups and a few other bits to go now?

It's looking lovely, well done. :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce:

Great progress! As for dark weather, I love watching thunderstorms - I grew up six floors up in a tower block, facing west (which is where most of our weather comes from) and the views of big thunderstorms were just overwhelming!

Thank you all my friends for your kind words - they are an encouragement and are very much appreciated by me.

A small update but sorry without a photo as I doubt you would see the few stitches I managed to get in late yesterday at the top of the saucer on the left hand side of the design. :whoop: Yes I have reached the far edge now and moving inwards and at the left hand cup and saucer!!!! :D :D

:whoop: :whoop: :whoop: IT IS FINISHED :tantrum: :whoop: :whoop: :whoop:

Never have I had such a difficult design to stitch but I am beginning to think that it was worth all the wrong words used, being tossed in the corner and other such happenings now that it is finally finished 1bout 12 days short of 6 months.

Image

I need now to measure my suitcase inner so I can tell the framer what dimensions not to go beyond. My grand-daughter lives in Perth in Western Australia 5 hrs flying time away and I will be giving it to her on her 18th birthday 10 October.
I am so glad I started it when I did as I had no idea it would take so long to do.

So there it is in all glory. Thank you all for cheering me on - it has been most helpful.

Congratulations on the brilliant finish, Sally! And you are right- Merejka's designs are never easy to stitch, but results of hard work are well worth all the effort. I cant believe it took nearly 6 month from start to finish- it seems to me it was last week or so that you showed the picture of your new process and first stitches on it.

HUGE CONGRATULATIONS :whoop: :whoop: :whoop: on a fabulous finish.

All the hassle with the backstitch was worth it.

The Squirrels are so cute and of course it is always time for tea in this lovely design.

It is a fabulous finish and I'm certain it will be treasured by your Granddaughter.

:applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce:

Thanks for the heads up about the Merejka kits.
