Not really part of the module I'm doing at the moment, but my Christmas present of three RSN Stitch Guides got me scribbling ideas for canvaswork! (more on FoF)

First Certificate stitching of 2020 - I present to you James the snail! I learnt a lot while stitching him, including the usefulness of thumbnails (and I don't mean small pictures :-) )

James the Snail is just AWESOME!! So much detail in such a small space!!

Beautiful, no doubt, but what fascinates me most of all is neatness and accuracy of the stitches. Sometimes one looks at embroidery and sees where it could be improved. Here it all is ideal and perfect. :applesauce: This is no flattering, it is recognition.

Thank you Lyudmila, that is much appreciated. I know I am over-fussy and anxious about the neatness sometimes, and I can actually see slight unevennesses but I've decided not to let them bother me because this is the best I can do!

WOW Mabel :whoop:

The threading of the stitches on James' shell is remarkable, so neat and it looks pretty even to me - you do know what the trouble with being a perfectionist is, don't you?

James has a great character and looks utterly content on that hillock, watching the yet to be stitched Lexi practising her elegant cat pose.

The top of the tree is so beautiful, and the shading of those leaves is so delicate, it's gorgeous.

I would say you must be well on your way to top marks for this RSN Certificate

Fantastic work.

(arrgghh auto-correct got me again and changed Lexi to flexi, and again just tried to to change the second Lexi to Lexicon I'm switching off altogether after this post)

 that Snail.

Everything about this piece is perfect in my little opinion, I hope the course agrees, you should get top marks for this.

I hope you are pleased with the results so far, you should be very proud.

Can't wait to see Lexi get her fur on :)
