Finished a while ago and now framed. The photo doesn't do justice to the frame. You can barely see the slight line of silver which sort of outlines the frame. Very subtle but gives it an antiquey feel. The white mat has a linen finish to it which is softer than a regular mat. And of course the colors are way darker in this photo. Now I have to wait till August and the bridal shower, but I am very pleased with it. And I now remember (between this and the mini Shiver Meow Timber) why I did so many afghans and avoided framing. At least with HAEDs I get a few years to save up for a frame.

FANTASTIC FRAME and STITCHING. WELL DONE CAROLE.

I did see the silver line along the bottom and I am sure it is just the finishing touch to a great gift. I know what you mean about the costs though. My framer down in Melbourne is fabulous and so reasonable but alas the postage is not. Still it is handy for those down in Melbourne and I use him whenever I can,

Absolutely, without a doubt, stunning!!! What a lucky couple. As for long engagements, sometimes they're just unavoidable. My husband and I dated for 4 years before we got married because that's how long it took for both of us to finish school. My daughter is in the same boat - both of them are sure they've found "the one" , but he got off schedule for his degree. They'll set a date when he has a graduation date. Wish the happy couple my best and have a blast at the wedding. Charleston is a lovely city. My BFF honeymooned there and had a blast.

Another stunning finish. It is the perfect choice for the frame. Long engagements seem to be more common these days. I am sure the lucky couple will love this piece.
