Just got back from a camping trip in Lyndhurst, Hampshire. This is the stitchy project I took with me as it's the smallest one I've got on the go. Here I am doing some one evening - I'll post an update of it when I get sorted out, nothing's unpacked yet!

the project looks amazing on the black fabric, I'm sure it's a pain to work with but it will be worth it in the end! great progress :)

You look like you are having fun. I just looked back through the thread. The horse is just beautiful. :applesauce: :applesauce: The dark fabric really sets it off. I look forward to seeing it progress.

I never would have thought to bring my xstitch with me, but it's a great idea. I like your little container for your threads too.

The trip was great, thank you, Mabel! We drove down on Friday morning and stayed 4 nights. The first night was really cold, but the rest of the time was ok; no rain, not too warm, but sunny. We went to Durdle Door along the south coast, spent some time on Poole Quay, wandered around Lyndhurst and Lymington, hiked in the forest and did silly things like climb trees and fool about. Two nice pub meals out and two nights cooking at the campsite. A great shame to have to come home and back to work - nice surprise though - my boss is taking us all out for a Chinese lunch on Friday so at least the treats aren't quite over yet! :D

Now there's a working lunch I'd like :-)!

Sounds like you had a great time! For a moment i thought I recognised some of the names from a walking holiday years ago, then realised that was Lynton and Lynmouth :-)

Here's my update. There's only one more section at the bottom right to do and then the backstitch and it's finished so I've decided to stick with this and complete it before I go back to Floatilla. It'll be nice to have another finish!
