Funnily enough I found this easier to stitch in the tent, with bright daylight until after 9pm every night! My living room is gloomy and our lights rubbish so I'm squinting again, but I've got half of the last section done now. Couple more days and the cross stitching should be finished - then there is A LOT of backstitch in all different colours. What joy! I'll have plenty of time to do it over the weekend though - other half is working overtime all weekend so I'll be on my own with not much to do other than stitch!

Love that your stitching on black, it really makes the design POP!

I love stitching while camping! The natural light is great and love to just sit and feel the breeze. It's so enjoyable.

Well, so far I've done about three-quarters of the backstitch. Any of you know me might remember I usually whinge about backstitch and then when I get going, I enjoy doing it!

Not so here! It's HORRIBLE! It's all in different colours and you keep having to do an inch or so and then change colours because the next bit of the first colour is too far away to carry along. The flowers are outlined with 2 strands of backstitch, which looks too heavy to me, but with only 1 strand you can't see it. It's extremely tedious, time consuming, and not at all pleasurable. I'm very thankful that I've run out of 2 of the colours and am having to wait for them to be delivered so I can have a few days' break from it!

Anyway, that's my moaning done for today. Hopefully by the weekend I should have got it done and have a final picture for you. In the meantime, I've started another page of Floatilla so I should have a photo of that as well soon.
