I have been doing this cross stitch and I didn't get any instructions bar the chart with it. I am confused about the back stitch and what threads to use and whether it is single or double thread. Also the flecks in the books in the picture should I have used two different threads?

This thread is almost 4 years old, I know some others including myself have done this since then.

You should have had 2 charts, a thread list and a pack of instructions, if not I would email Bothy Threads and ask them to send you another one - they are usually really good about answering emails etc.

One of the charts will have your cross stitches on it, the other shows the backstitch. The thread chart will tell you what threads go where. Some of the books should be blended with one of the metallic threads.

If you don't have any of the instructions I would definitely email Bothy and then go from there. Good Luck!
